Twenty-three million people have substance use disorder in the US and Canada

In 2016: 63,632 people died from overdose in the USA. 68% of overdose deaths are form opioids.

In 2017: 70,237 people died from overdose in the USA.

In 2018: 68,557 Americans lost their lives. Fortunately, that number is down from 2017. However, we are still in a crisis, and we need a stronger response to this enemy.

Canada has lost 9,000 people since 2016.
